I'm thrilled to share two features from the latest edition of The Knot Texas.    Hope you enjoy!

I blogged about Shannon & Will's wedding a few months ago, but am happy to have an excuse to revisit it.  One of my personal favorites, every detail of this wedding was carefully planned and designed, and the results --- in my opinion --- were exquisite!   The petite bride carried a small, loosely tied bouquet of garden roses, gardenias, lily of the valley, and ivy vine, with hints of magnolia leaves and blue delphinium.  The result was simple, elegant and wonderfully fragrant.  The southern charm didn't end there.  With greenery adorning the chandeliers and huge oversized prints of the bride's grandfather's estate creating windows overlooking a garden in Georgia, the ballroom where the ceremony took place was transformed into a intimate and one-of-a-kind space.  Likewise, the couple's design transformed the mezzanine into a space all their own.   Hundreds of orchids and hydrangeas graced the chandeliers, and a mix of low, lush centerpieces found balance with dramatic, towering arrangements.  Delicate ivory linens provided by Ken Sharples tied the tables together and softened the interplay between modern and traditional elements within the design.  Again, the flowers  and designs were elegant but simple; white hydrangeas and orchids, with pops of green amaranthus and green sown roses (also known as carmen roses, individual petals are laboriously attached to a single rose bloom to create a single striking, voluminous bloom).  The list of carefully orchestrated details goes on and on, and while I am tempted to recount them for you here in text I know that the photos are what we're all excited for!   : )

Happily, we have a second feature in the latest issue which it's my pleasure to share with you today.  In August, we enjoyed the opportunity to work with a team of truly talented professionals in the event industry to put on a charming indoor-outdoor cocktail party at Vista on Seward Hill.  STEMS' vintage-modern arrangements and signature crystal chandeliers and candelabras evoked an elegant soiree in the garden -- hitting just the right note of casual luxuriousness.
