Speaking of color inspiration… when we meet with our clients we're always so excited to see what their vision is. Bringing in photos is encouraged and welcomed as it gives our designers a better idea of your taste and preference. That said, with all the photoshopping and filtering of images, flower colors can be distorted. What looks like pale blush in a photo may, in fact, be something more pink; what looks like coral in a photo may be more of an orange in reality.
A majority of the most commonly requested flowers, like ranunculus and dahlias have ranges in color, so it's never 100% guaranteed exactly what they are going to look like when they arrive at our studio. Sometimes a peach ranunculus is a little more pink, and sometimes it's a little more orange—always gorgeous, but there are various shades to most flowers and trying to match each bloom to a specific color is a harder task than you'd think!
Every batch of flowers grown can have beautiful variations that make it unique and different, even when grown at the same farm. We are picky when it comes to the flowers we source for our clients, and work very hard to get the best of the best blooms to bring your vision to life while keeping in mind that nature is nature and we can only manipulate it so much! A qualified, experienced designer can talk you through all this, and make sure you're getting the right blooms to bring your dream to life... variations and all.
