Carlie and Jake were married on the most beautiful December day at Laguna Gloria. Katie of Pearl Events did a beautiful job of styling this wedding around Carlie’s vision of a romantic, garden-inspired and elegant affair…. and an incredible job of organizing the long, long, long list of vendors it took to pull it off at a venue with a small window for set up time. From the moment I saw the inspiration board full of mauve and purple hues, I knew this was going to be a stunning day - and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the planning process with Katie and Carlie. On wedding day, no detail was left undone and the elegance shines through in all the gorgeous images captured by Stacy of SMS Photography.
A fun play on color - we designed the florals to have a slight transition as guests moved from space to space. The bouquets were soft-toned with a hint of mauve and blush, keeping things elegant and classic for all the portraits. The ceremony arrangements and entrance arch carried slightly more mauve tones, but still incorporated quite a bit of the classic whites. And finally, as guests moved from ceremony to the reception, the hues got slightly bolder and deeper with pops of burgundy and dark purple. A year of designing, months of prep (including a visit a few weeks before the wedding to Sean of Full Spectrum’s Ice for florals to be encased in that incredible ice bar), weeks of carefully planning out every detail, and several intense days of construction and installation lead to a pretty incredible day.
